Lighting & Electrical
Choosing the right lighting for a room is key to creating the right mood. Very often, the attention of a project is drawn to the visible materials, colours & textures; and the lighting is almost an after-thought. In most cases, it's the lighting which is the difference between 'Nice' & 'Wow!' so this is something we consider very carefully during our design process, as it is typically one of the first aspects to be addressed when beginning any new installation.
Introduced with consideration, lighting will usually serve to highlight key features of a room or project without taking away from the main attraction, providing all the attention without taking the glory.
Here at Enjoinit, we have highly skilled electrical professionals who will not only ensure all electrical works are carried out competently and safely, but will also provide design guidance and advice on all things electrical, from aesthetics to functionality.

In this striking black hotel inspired en-suite, we reversed typical lighting rational. Rather than attempt to flood the room with light, the focus was to maintain a dark atmosphere to complement the aesthetic, whilst highlighting key features & ensuring there was enough light where required.
Starting with the walk-in shower, the concept was to highlight the texture of the stone effect tiles with an illusion of daylight flooding down from above the shower. This made the space feel less tunnel-like and maximised the parameters. The same concept was then used within the shower ledge & decorative alcove to tie in the scheme throughout.
Perhaps most consideration was given to how best to accent the stunning feature tiles which formed the main focal point of the room. The introduction of surface mounted black 'bean-can' lighting does this perfectly, spreading spots of light at the same angle as the pattern, whilst the main fitting blends seamlessly into the background. The addition of a purposefully positioned large bronze tinted mirror adjacent to this feature also formed part of the lighting design, with the concept that it creates an illusion of continuation and effectively doubling the feature scale.
A single large Tala Voronoi II ambient pendant was added above the sink basin and connected to a separate switch, allowing independent use when only a small amount of light is required.
